High-flying previous of alleged ‘spy’ with ‘close relationship’ to Nvidia tycoon Jensen Huang: TV, banking and billions

The alleged Chinese spy who had a “close relationship”with Nvidia boss Jensen Huang has been linked to a résumé boasting jobs at prime TV networks and world banks.

Alice Huang, also recognized as Huang Le, cultivated a close relationship with the chip tycoon while passing data to the Chinese Communist Party, US intelligence officers claim, according to a New York Times report.

An online profile lists a outstanding profession spanning Chinese tv, HSBC bank, CITIC Securities and then a profitable Shanghai investment fund. Perhaps it’s a little too outstanding.

“I have not heard of her,” an govt at Hunan TV, who requested not to be named, advised the Post.

Alice Huang, also recognized as Huang Le, claimed a previous as a reporter at Hunan TV and CCTV — but the station says it has never heard of her. LinkedIn

“If someone really worked for Hunan TV as a reporter, you could easily see their names or profiles on the company website.”

The Post could discover no reporting profile under Huang Le’s title on Hunan TV’s web site, or on that of CCTV, China’s state broadcaster.

Huang Le is, by all accounts, a profitable businesswoman and is not formally accused of wrongdoing. She is also not associated to the Nvidia boss and although the Times report described them as having a “close relationship” it admitted it could not set up how close.

A profile on Chinese fund database Simuwang lists “Huang Le, fund manager” at Shanghai Hexi Investment, claiming she labored as a reporter at Hunan TV and CCTV.

A Simuwang fund-manager profile in Chinese for “Huang Le,” govt director of Shanghai Hexi Investment, claims she was a information reporter at Hunan TV and CCTV-1, then a banker at HSBC and CITIC Securities. Hunan TV says it has never heard of her.

“Jensen’s interactions with Ms. Huang are not unusual or unexpected,” an Nvidia spokesperson advised The Post. “Meetings with customers are part of a CEO’s job; Jensen talks with thousands of customer executives every year.”

Huang Le helped run Megaspeed, a little-known Singapore chip firm whose Malaysian sister company purchased at least $4.8 billion in Nvidia tools between June 2024 and February 2026, according to the Times.

Before that her résumé exhibits gives a glimpse into a startling business profession.

On Simuwang, a Chinese private-fund database, a smiling lady in a purple gown who matches the individual in the footage with Jensen is recognized as “Huang Le, fund manager” and an govt director of Shanghai Hexi Investment Management.

Chinese-language YouTube channel Xi Dynasty, which is important of Beijing, put the Hexi fund profile picture (heart) beside photos of Alice Huang (proper) in October 2025, linking the fund supervisor to the lady seen with Nvidia boss Jensen Huang.

Her profile lists 4 years in media and eight in securities, with jobs as a reporter for Hunan TV and CCTV, assistant to the president of HSBC’s private-banking division and a vice president in CITIC Securities’ securities business.

Neither HSBC nor CITIC Securities responded to The Post’s requests for remark.

Megaspeed was initially the Singaporean arm of 7Road, a Chinese online recreation company partly owned by China’s central and native governments. Huang Le’s Shanghai Hexi fund had invested in 7Road, it was reported last yr.

Hexi did not reply to interview requests from the Post.

Megaspeed has acquired multimillion-dollar shipments of Nvidia’s most superior chips as it is not a Chinese company. However, the firm controversially rents out computing energy to Alibaba and other Chinese corporations, according to varied reports.

It imported about 136,000 Nvidia GPUs through November 2025, though Nvidia’s own inspectors discovered only a few thousand of its latest chips at its information heart, Bloomberg reported, leaving questions about where the relaxation went.

The Commerce Department probed whether Megaspeed helped smuggle chips into China and handed its outcomes to the Justice Department this yr. Singaporean authorities introduced Huang Le in for questioning in 2025, but launched her without charge.

“China opposes vilifying Chinese citizens by peddling the so-called ‘Chinese spy’ narrative,” Chinese Embassy spokesperson Liu Chang advised The Post.

Megaspeed advised the Times it had employed outside legal professionals to examine. It did not reply to the Post, and Huang Le could not be reached.

In the meantime, China’s censorship machine has already swung into gear.

Asked to confirm that the Hexi fund supervisor was the Megaspeed govt Alice Huang, Chinese AI chatbot DeepSeek replied: “Sorry, that’s beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.”

China’s prime AI chatbot, DeepSeek, refuses to reply questions about Huang Le. Asked by the Post to confirm the Hexi fund supervisor was the Megaspeed govt, it replied: “Sorry, that’s beyond my current scope. Let’s talk about something else.”

DeepSeek dodged 85% of prompts on delicate China topics in a take a look at last yr, TechCrunch reported.
