If you’re struggling to find your favourite channels on Virgin’s planner today you are probably not alone. The popular provider has just rolled out a massive update to its telly platform with a swathe of channels swapping positions on the guide. In fact, a total of 86 services have now moved meaning they are no longer where you found them before.
The update, which rolled out overnight, includes changes to channels such as MTV, ITV, Discovery and Sky Documentaries.
All of Virgin’s set-top boxes including TiVo will be affected by the changes and there’s no way to revert back to the original channel numbers.
Explaining more, Virgin Media told Express.co.uk, “On 4 July, we will change the numbers of 86 channels in our TV guide across TiVo, V6, TV360 and Stream. These changes are designed to move popular general entertainment channels into more prominent numbers in the TV guide, and moving +1 channels into a dedicated channel range between 300-399. Customers will not need to do anything – their boxes will automatically update overnight.”
If you are worried about future recordings then these shouldn’t be affected with Virgin confirming that all series links will remain active.
Here are some of the channels moving place on Virgin’s planner.
