Nintendo has a fairly massive sales space at Gamescom this 12 months, with a giant chunk of areas devoted to the glut of third-party ports coming to (or are already out on) the Switch 2.
One of those upcoming titles is Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, which brings the highly-acclaimed open-world RPG from FromSoftware to Nintendo’s new console. This rerelease consists of the base recreation, the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, new weapons, lessons, and armour. So we knew we had to attempt it out on the newer console.
And, after spending time with the recreation in handheld mode, our man on the ground Felix has some issues about efficiency. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to seize any footage, including over-the-shoulder footage (Both GVG and IGN corroborate this), so you’ll have to use your creativeness.
Felix talks about experiencing a number of cases of body drops and stuttering while out in the open world, significantly after leaving the tutorial space. Of course, the demo is seemingly primarily based on an earlier construct of the recreation, so that’s price holding in thoughts.
He also got to attempt out one of the new lessons and discover half of the early-game map, Limgrave. So while we can’t show you any footage, it’s price listening to what Felix has to say — and the beautiful Alex’s curious questions.
