Well, we’re sorry, but that’s not going to occur, as Nintendo has cancelled the occasion.

The occasion was initially scheduled to run from twenty eighth October through until 4th November, but many gamers reported nasty technical difficulties when collaborating in early matches, where the screen would commonly freeze — which, in a recreation as frantic as Air Riders, is not going to cut it.

You can see the challenge for yourself below (shared on Bluesky by TAHK0):

This time, Nintendo did not have a fast repair up its sleeve, so it determined to cancel the occasion instead. “We have confirmed an issue in the currently ongoing event ‘Trick or Treat!’ where the screen temporarily freezes during gameplay,” a message from the Japanese Nintendo Support social media account (via machine translation) learn this morning. “For this reason, we will be cancelling this event.”

While Nintendo went on to apologise for the cancellation, it claimed that there are plans to maintain the occasion again in the future, so everyone can get in on the themed reward.
