If you own a Samsung Galaxy S23, or are considering buying one soon, be warned that your device could end up looking massively inferior. Reports from the South Korean site TheElec suggest that Samsung is making an exponential improvement to the battery life of its next flagship which will likely be called the Galaxy S24. If the rumours are true, then Samsung SDI, which is a part of the Korean tech giant that builds batteries, is working with two Chinese companies to develop smartphone and tablet batteries similar to those used in electric vehicles.
This battery uses a “stacked design” rather than being rolled, which means that parts of the battery are stacked on top of each other.
This kind of design allows the battery to be more tightly packed, allowing the entire structure to have a greater energy density.
But what does this mean for the battery life of your smartphone?
Theoretically, this means that Samsung could boost the S24’s battery life by 10 percent, which is a significant improvement.
