Apart from the latest release of Oblivion Remastered on the Switch 2, Bethesda has been retaining itself busy with the next main chapter in The Elder Scrolls collection.
Back in August, we heard how the Xbox boss Asha Sharma was handled to a dwell playthrough of the upcoming title (who also teased the sport’s title), and now we’ve got another replace. The Verge’s senior correspondent Tom Warren reports the sport will be called “The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel“.
According to “sources familiar Bethesda’s plans”, the title’s official reveal could be coming as soon as “next month”, which apparently traces up with “a period that will mark 15 years since The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was launched”. Warren also shares a little bit more about what followers of The Elder Scrolls can apparently expect from this new entry:
“I understand that Sentinel will be set in Hammerfell, a province in the Elder Scrolls universe that’s appeared in The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard and The Elder Scrolls Online. Sentinel will be the first game about the history of the Elder Scrolls, and help uncover the secrets of these mysterious ancient artifacts.”
This sixth main entry in the collection has now been in development for more than eight years since its official announcement. A release date hasn’t been revealed, and platforms also have not been locked in just yet, but based mostly on latest reports, the new chapter is in a respectable (and playable) state.
Apart from Oblivion Remastered, Bethesda has also launched The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary on the Switch 2.
